Congratulations to the Alabama Crimson Tide on winning the BCS Championship! Though I will say that Texas' true freshman QB Gilbert really stepped up in the 2nd half. Hopefully McCoy's injury won't affect his draft status. He's one heck of a ball player. I've had a great time this season, and although I wish I could have been able to do both the College and NFL games, I've just simply not had the time this year due to work. I hope to start up the NCAA Men's College Basketball ratings soon, as my collection programs for tha are much simpler than for football. Perhaps something I'll have to work on for football in the offseason. Have a great offseason, and see you in August! |

Welcome to the most wonderful time of the year -- Bowl Season! Woohoo! Texas and Alabama square off for the national championship, and it should be an interesting game. Personally, I have no idea who is going to win, and my system is equally perplexed, having Alabama as a very small favorite in the game. Should be an interesting game to watch, and I know where I'll be on January 7... Good luck all! |

Congrats to Alabana and Texas on wrapping up the regular season undefeated and earning their spots in the BCS Title game in Pasadena next month! Alabama crushed Florida in the SEC championship, and Texas got oh-so-lucky to have a fraction of a second left on the clock to kick the winning field goal in the Big 12 championship to preserve their undefeated season secure their trip to the big game. Cincy also needed some late game heroics to save their season, and got it, as did Oregon in winning the Civil War, and a date with my Ohio State Buckeyes. See you on New Years Day Ducks! FYI -- here's my projected BCS bowl lineups: Rose -- Ohio State vs. Oregon Sugar -- Florida vs. Cincinnati Orange -- Georgia Tech vs. Boise State Fiesta -- TCU vs. Iowa BCS Title game -- Alabama vs. Texas
I think Penn State gets left out of the mix, due to Iowa's defeat of the Lions in September, however that means that PSU should have a competitive matchup vs. LSU in the Cap One Bowl. I'm also interested to see where Virginia Tech and Oklahoma land, as they are far better than their records show, as the Sooners proved last weekend by blowing out Oklahoma State. We'll see what the Bowl committees come up with later today. |

It's the final week of the regular season, and should be an interesting set of rivalry and champioship games. Already, Oregon and Central Michigan have won their conferences. Let's see what today has in store. The SEC championship game between Florida and Alabama is by far the biggest game of the day, and maybe the entire season, bowls included. |

Sorry for being so late with this update -- just another crazy week at the office. SEC dominance reigned last week, with the Georgia win over GT being the biggest surprise of the day. Quite a bit of shuffle on the coaching hot seat since last weekend too. See ya later Charlie... |
